About us CGK is a startup biotech company specializing in drug repositioning (i.e. developing new indications for existing drugs), based on its proprietary technology, InCell IT(In Cell Interaction Trap). Founded in 2004, CGK has established patent filed innovative InCell IT technology, with which we can visualize the interaction between small molecule drugs and their target proteins. We provide solutions for drug development, especially for drug repositioning, to improve the productivity and to reduce risk of the development.
InCell IT is applied to our own drug development researches for anticancer, antidiabetics, antiobestiy disease drugs.
We select the candidates from FDA approved drugs in PDR, which are prescription, orally admitted, low toxic drugs with broad therapeutic windows. Also, patentability and synthetic difficulties and SAR are considered. The candidates are screened against FDA approved drug targets with large market, whose genes can be easy to come by and the animal model to prove its efficacy is well established.
